Limestone and marl

In the recent past (in the 1970s and 1980s) a considerable number of deposits of limestone and marl for the production of cement were studied in Bulgaria. A number of them have not yet been introduced into exploitation. Some of the most attractive deposits and promising areas deserve to be studied and in line with the modern requirements of the Bulgarian legislation introduced into the exploitation.

Vermiculite

In the region of Ihtiman Sredna Gora, some of the most interesting deposits of vermiculite in Europe have been established. There are enough informative prognostic signs of searching and exploring new deposits of vermiculite raw material, both in Ihtiman Sredna Gora and other regions of Bulgaria.

Gypsum

In a number of Danubian regions of Bulgaria, gypsum deposits have been explored, which one reason or another have not been put into operation. There is the possibility of updating the necessary specialized geological information and accordingly studying the most attractive stocks of them with a view to obtaining a concession for their development.

In different regions of Bulgaria, there are opportunities for exploring and proving stocks of kaolin, pearlite and fluorite-type raw materials.
